What Teachers are saying:

"It is an absolute joy to reflect upon Moira’s learning this past quarter! Reading comprehension has always been strength but significant improvement is noted in Moira’s decoding and fluency. She is approaching grade level expectations! What a change since September. Her writing has improved, also. Her writing is very well organized and her main ideas are well developed with supporting details. She always included an introduction and a closing. Her spelling remains a weakness, however, improvement has been noted in this area also, especially in her consistent correct use of many vowel conventions. I am very happy for Moira and hope her progress continues.
I am so thankful to have had Moira in my class this year. Never in my 26 years of teaching have I witnessed so much progress in so little time. Moira’s motivation and determination is a power in and of itself! I am so happy for Moira’s success, she defines the joy of teaching! Have a wonderful summer. I will miss Moira immensely! Good luck in grade 4!"

“I’ve noticed dramatic improvements in my students’ ability to attack unknown words with various strategies. The open communication with my student’s tutor and her willingness to share strategies was also very helpful in furthering my students’ progress.”

What Parents are saying:

"All parents want to help their children succeed in school. The world continues to get more competitive and a solid education gives our children an opportunity to compete in this environment. When we were told our daughter had learning differences, we knew we needed to find her extra help. We were overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn for these resources.
Delta Consultants referred us to Lisa Bigney at RI Tutorial. She thoroughly reviewed our daughter’s lengthy report detailing her learning differences. She created an individual lesson plan, consulting with her teachers, to ensure she was getting exactly what she needed. That was 3 years ago and Lisa has not lost her diligence giving Caroline the best she has to offer.
Lisa has become an integral part of helping us manage our daughter Caroline’s educational path. Lisa continually interfaces with each of Caroline’s teachers, reviewing their lesson plans and identifying where difficulty will lie for Caroline. She then tailors a specific lesson plan targeting those areas of difficulty.
Lisa has been incredibly flexible with scheduling Caroline’s tutoring sessions. She always makes sure she is maximizing their time together. Lisa’s follow up is excellent.
One of the most valuable assets of being at RI Tutorial is the resources Lisa has at her finger tips. She is well connected in the education field and uses those connections to make sure my daughter is getting the best for our money. We get more than just a tutor. We get a plethora of resources and services for anything our daughter needs.
Lisa takes a personal interest in all aspects of our daughter’s education. Caroline enjoys her time with Lisa and they have formed a tight bond. Caroline tells us Lisa makes learning fun! Isn’t that what it is all about? I know my money is well spent at RI Tutorial because Caroline’s love of school is evident. Caroline consistently makes the honor roll despite her learning difference!"

"My son Alex and I had a great experience at RITES this summer. Everyone we worked with was pleasant, friendly, patient and very helpful. The hours for tutoring were very convenient for our summer schedule. Alex was able to enjoy swim and tennis lessons early in the day, and he had his tutoring later in the afternoon. He was given the right amount of homework between sessions to keep him thinking and learning. His summer was mixed with fun and learning, he enjoyed and looked forward to his next visit with RITES.
I am so thankful that we found out about RITES.
I am very impressed with all the staff, and I would certainly use RITES in the future. I would highly recommend them to family and friends."

Summer Algebra course

"I liked this course because there were only a few kids. The teacher got to thoroughly help each of us. I am glad that I learned the foil method and distributive property, because I think that hose methods will be helpful next year. Thanks."

Study and Organizational Summer Class

"This class was helpful. I actually picked up some new tactics to help me stay organized throughout the year with short and long term projects. Certain systems, such as the tilter see-through paper holder system will help. I also think with some the workbook exercises, I will be able to plan out long term projects better. "
